Using the town of Asakusa as a stage,
tradition and modernity, theater and tourism intersect.
Starting at the theater of Japan's oldest amusement park, ASAKUSA HANAYASHIKI,
an all-star cast representing the latest in theater creates a new experience
by blending traditional performing arts with Showa retro style.
The curtains are rising on a singular art entertainment,
where the performers, the audience,
and the whole town unite as one.

Deep in the forest,
mischievous fairies toy with the hearts of unsuspecting lovers.
Desires cross paths, and the line between dreams and reality blurs—
until dawn reveals each character’s true feelings.
Shakespeare’s timeless masterpiece,
"A Midsummer Night’s Dream",is reborn in Showa-era Asakusa,
reimagined through a rich tapestry of theatrical styles
from across eras and cultures.
Step into a fantastical dreamscape where the heat of
midsummer ignites the heart of wintertime Asakusa.

A dream collaboration of diverse cast members, transcending genres!
From traditional performing arts to contemporary theatre,
Featuring cast members who represent the latest in theater,
We breathe new life into the classics.
