tradition and modernity, theater and tourism intersect.
Starting at the theater of Japan's oldest amusement park, ASAKUSA HANAYASHIKI,
an all-star cast representing the latest in theater creates a new experience
by blending traditional performing arts with Showa retro style.
The curtains are rising on a singular art entertainment,
where the performers, the audience,
and the whole town unite as one.

STORY

Deep in the forest,
mischievous fairies toy with the hearts of unsuspecting lovers.
Desires cross paths, and the line between dreams and reality blurs—
until dawn reveals each character’s true feelings.
Shakespeare’s timeless masterpiece,
"A Midsummer Night’s Dream",is reborn in Showa-era Asakusa,

reimagined through a rich tapestry of theatrical styles from across eras and cultures.

  • Yoshiki Arizono
    Yoshiki Arizono was born on October 24, 1960 in Saitama Prefecture. He is a member of Office PSC, organizes the YA.YA.MA.YA.55 theater company, and teaches the S&S ACT acting course. Recent appearances: "Brocken" (Brocken), "The Shiny One" and "Fan Fan Fanfare!" (Mushirase), "Dazzlingly Dazzling" (Mushirase), "Night Shinjuku Trap Hole" (Mushirase), "A Certain Limit" (HIGHcolors), "With the Neighbor's Old Man" (Theater Company YA.YA.MA.YA.55 2nd Performance), "PROPS!" (Yoshimoto Kogyo x PSC Planning) Directed works: "The Legendary Man" (Majin Project), "Swaying by Hypothesis" (Good Distance), "Drifting Bystanders" (Theater Company YA.YA.MA.YA.55 Inaugural Performance), "Days of Trying to Give This Life a Title" (Theater Company Rainbow Jam), "With the Neighbor's Old Man" (Theater Company YA.YA.MA.YA.55 2nd Performance)
  • Miyu Sorano
    Miyu Sorano was born on February 14th in Chiba Prefecture. She joined the Takarazuka Revue in 2007 and made her stage debut in the Star Troupe's production of "Sakura: Secret Hunter." Since joining the Star Troupe, she has had numerous experiences in double trios and choruses, including the role of Leonora, the protagonist's mother, in the Bou production of "Alcazar," the singer Elsa in the national production of "The Pirate," and the shadow solo in the Grand Theater production of "ENTER TAINER!" After graduating from the Takarazuka Revue in 2017 with the performance of "Scarlet Pimpernel," she is currently active in a wide range of fields, including film and stage. Recent appearances include the lead role of Karen in the Tosho Theater Company's "REDShose," "TARKIE: Legendary Women," and the Snow White tour, among many others.
  • Ren Yagami
    Ren Yagami was born December 14, 1985, in Aichi Prefecture. Blood type: O. He made his debut in the musical "The Prince of Tennis." He has appeared in various dramas, including the role of Shibayama in the drama "Gokusen (3rd Series)" (2008/NTV), the role of Hayato Oji in "Negotiator 2" (2009/EX), the role of Akira Kudo in "Salaryman Kintaro 2" (2010/EX), and the role of Shinji Sakamoto in "Kurohyo 2: Ryu ga Gotoku Ashura Hen" (2012/TBS). His film credits include the lead role in the movie "Choudengattai God Hikoza" (2022). He has also appeared in stage musicals such as "Aoharu Railway."
  • Yuki Hayashi
    Yuki Hayashi * (female actor). Active as Ichikawa Enju of the Sawagaya school until December 2016. Made his debut in March 2014 at the Shinbashi Enbujo Theater in "The Man Who Carves the Sky." In April of the same year, he became a disciple of Ichikawa Haruno (now Kawai Yukinojyo) of the Ichikawa En'o school, appearing in Super Kabuki II "One Piece" and other productions. In January 2017, he transferred to the Shinpa Theater Company and took the name Kawai Yuki. The following January 2017, he left the Shinpa Theater Company and joined Shochiku Entertainment. He has appeared in numerous roles, including Shiraito in "Taki no Shiraito," Kitahachi Onji in "Uta Andon," and Kamehime in "Tenshu Monogatari." Received the Newcomer Award at the 2025 Matsuo Entertainment Awards. *Guest substitutes will appear for the matinee performances on January 15th and the matinee and evening performances on the 16th.
  • Mao Takase
    Mao Takase (special appearance) joined the OSK Nippon Revue Company and made her stage debut in "Gauche the Cellist." In 2014, she became a top star and performed at the Osaka Shochikuza Theater, Shinbashi Enbujo Theater in Tokyo, and Minamiza Theater in Kyoto. She has since performed in numerous shows, including the theater company's 95th anniversary performance and the 400th anniversary of Japan-Cuba friendship. In 2018, she graduated with a farewell performance in the Shinbashi Enbujo Theater's "Review Summer Dance." In 2019, she made her debut as an actress in "Tenkaichi no Kagaru Otoko" (The Greatest Light-Headed Man in the World) at the Osaka Shochikuza Theater. In the same year, she made her artist debut with the CD "Aiseba Koso/Tabidachi" (Because I Love You/Tabidachi) from Tokuma Japan Communications. She is currently active as an actor and artist on stage, Stage, and TV.

a trailblazer in redefining theatrical standards,
it offers a unique sensory experience found nowhere else.

  • Yusuke Kei
    Yusuke Kei was born in Saitama in 1984 and graduated from Keio University. After attending the Bungakuza Theatre Institute, he worked in small theaters and in 2015 joined the Shinpa Theater Company (under the tutelage of Tatematsu Akira). Recent major appearances include the Grand Kabuki productions "Furuamericani Sode wa Nuru Saji" (as Iluus), "Sanba" (as Yamada Goro), and the "Ecstatic Series." In 2019, he launched PRAY and began directing. He was selected for the Asakusa Ku Theater Award's New Face Award for the second half of the year for "The Greeks Part 1 War." He debuted at Tokyo Metropolitan Theatre's Theater West with the 4th production, "Tenshu Monogatari," co-hosted with Shinoi Eisuke. In 2022, he joined RushStyle and expanded his activities to include voice acting. Dubbing work for "Trigger" (as Jung-man), "The Recruit" (as Jang Gyun), and "The Rookie" (as Graham), games such as "Assassin's Creed: Shadows," "Iron Saga VS," and "The Wizard and the Black Cat Wiz," and anime such as "Spice and Wolf" and "The White Saint and the Black Priest."
