What is the TV anime "Hana Kappa"?

"Hana Kappa" began airing on NHK Educational TV in April 2010, and is now in its 16th year as a TV anime that is currently broadcast five days a week, morning and evening, on NHK Educational TV. The original work is the picture book of the same name, "Hana Kappa" (published by KADOKAWA) by Akiyama Tadashi. Hanakappa is a kappa boy with a flower on his head instead of a plate, and is set in the nature-rich village of Yamabiko, where he, along with his family and friends, get involved in heartwarming and quite funny (?) incidents every day. It is a heartwarming, comedy-filled, nonsensical anime. Official website
